Welcome to the Kidd Farms Preserve website.
Let
us take you to a way of life unknown to most people today. The Kidd Farms Preserve
lifestyle allows horseback rides and long boat trips along the shores of
Alabama’s Lay Lake. From skipping rocks and bird hunting, to catching dinner or working the crop, this lifestyle is one that has truly been lost.

The Kidd family has farmed your community for three generations. After retiring
from the farming business in 2002,
Dickson Kidd, the current owner, has now created
a community that allows you to experience the lifestyle he enjoyed as a boy.
Understanding the average family can not farm a 500 acre tract of land, we have decided to break Kidd Farms into forty tracts large enough to enjoy, but small enough to manage. Kidd Farms will include two nature trails; one 3.5 mile trail around the community
and a 1 mile trail inside the community. We also have a proposed equestrian boarding
and care center for those who enjoy horses.
Deed restrictions will protect your community’s working farm look. Kidd Farms has made every effort to preserve your property as well as the lifestyle you want to embrace. Kidd Farms creates an opportunity for you to have something worth protecting for your future generations.
